In the tradition of cocktail lounge jazz pianists, Eddie endeavors to apply complex, lush harmonies in interpreting the melodic and lyrical jazz standards. He has worked in New York City at the Waldorf-Astoria, in Chicago at the Palmer House Hotel and upon relocating to the west coast in Los Angeles at the Hilton Hotel where he was privileged to work alongside legendary jazz pianist, Hampton Hawes. He has performed at iconic downtown Los Angeles venues, including on the famous wrought iron balcony of the Bradbury Building, the art deco penthouse of the Oviatt Building and the refurbished All Souls Chapel. For five years he maintained a piano residency at the L A Rose Cafe in Hollywood. He has been honored by the City of Los Angeles for his efforts towards the elimination of discrimination in housing and was privileged to serve as the president of the Southern California Fair Housing Congress for eight years. As a longtime advocate of their Music for Healing programs he currently plays the piano weekday afternoons at the major metropolitan hospitals throughout Los Angeles.
